I used to work as an in-house graphic designer for Penguin Young Readers Group. Now, I run Bird Star Studio from my home in Edmonds, WA, where I’m inspired by my children and the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest.
My work features a bold color palette, graphic shapes, and whimsical animal designs that aim to spark joy and wonder. My creative process begins with sketching, followed by painting or block printing. I then digitize and refine my designs in Illustrator or Photoshop, which keeps my work fresh and continually evolving.

ARTWORK
I work out of a small, but mighty bonus room in my home. From here I paint, scan, and design everything for Bird Star Studio.
DESIGN
I create all of my artwork by hand and love digitizing and finalizing my work using Photoshop and Illustrator.
PRINTING
My art prints are produced in-house. I scan my art, color correct, print, trim, and pack all my orders with love.
